Abstract

In field experiments at Pulse Research Station, Samba an integrated pesticide spray schedule provided better control of blight (Ascochyta rabiei), stem rot (Sclerotinia sclerotiomm), dry root rot (Rhizoctonia bataticola), wilt (Fusarium oxysporumf. sp. ciceri) and pod borer (Helicoverpa armigera) than any of the simple treatment. Higher yields were obtained in the treatments where carbendazim + thiram treated seeds were planted and later sprayed with 2 sprays of monocrotophos or endosulf an. Both these treatments provided economic management of diseases and pod borer with net profit of Rs.3368 and Rs.3290, respectively.
