Abstract

Helicoverpa armigera Hb. is an important pest on cotton. Recently, we observed that carbaryl failed to control this pest on cotton in Maharastra. Studies at PKV, Akola indicated that LCso for carbaryl is 0.3717%, which is very high as compared to susceptible population from Srikakulam. These studies indicated 60-fold resistance to carbaryl in Maharashtra.
