Studies were conducted on the susceptibility of three populations of Helicoverpa armigera Hub. to pyraclofos at the Tamil Nadu Agricultural College, Madurai. LD50 values varied from 5.13 to 5.73μg larvae. The three populations from Theni, Melur, and Othakadai did not differ in their susceptibility to pyraclofos. Pyraclofos has not been used earlier at these locations, and there was no evidence of cross resistance.
