Two experiments were conducted to find out the relative efficacy of acaricides and insecticides against citrus mite Eutetranychus orientalis (Klien) feeding on mandarin orange (Citrus reticulata Blanco) in Central India during the winter seasons of 1990 and 1991. Acaricides caused greater percentage mortality of mites up to 7 days after spraying than insecticides. Tetradifon (0.025%) was most effective for controlling the mite. Phosphamidon was the cheapest and tetradifon the costliest pesticide.
