Persistence of insecticide sprays applied at recommended and double the recommended dosages on the rind of pomegranate fruits were studied by gas chromatography. Persistence was greater in cypermethrin, intermediate in endosulfan, and lowest in quinalphos. Endosulfan-I was isomerized to endosulfan-II. Residues of pesticides in edible kernels at harvest were negligible.
