Amongst the 14 cultivars G 27, Eknath, Rohini and PA 141 recorded significantly lower bollworm infestation in shed material and fruiting bodies on plant, while, the cultivars, NA 360, NA 363, NA 364 and NA114 had recorded significantly higher bollworm infestation. The correlation studies indicated that hair density and nitrogen content of leaf were positively associated, while boll rind thickness and tannin content were negatively associated with bollworm infestation.
