Control of Guava Tea Mosquito Bug Helopeltis antonii Sign. (Miridae: Hemiptera) with Insecticides and Botanicals

Abstract

Field evaluation of insecticides and botanicals and effective time of application for the control of Guava tea mosquito bug Helopeltis antonii sign, revealed that malathion 0.1% followed by monocrotophos 0.04%, neem oil 2%, pinnai oil 2%, and pungam oil 2% sprayed twice at pea stage of fruits followed by another spray 15 days later, effectively reduced tea mosquito bug incidence and recorded low number of corky growths on the fruits.
