Abstract

Ediphenphos was tested along with carbendazim, mancozeb and thiophanate methyl in vitro and in vivo. Ediphenphos was found highly significant in checking the mycelial growth and the infestation of sorghum grains when used on PDA as well as soil drench. Other fungicides which were found significant in checking the mycelial growth on PDA failed to check the infestation of sorghum grains when used as soil drench. Though, all fungicides were effective in controlling the disease in gram and sunflower at 0.2 per cent ediphenphos was effective and most economical at 0.1 per cent.
