Green house experiments were carried out to study the systemic action of two commercial formulations viz., Neem Azal T/S and Rakshak, based on mortalities of BPH, WBPH and GLH in TNI Var. of rice. Following application of neem formulations through foliar sprays and seedling root dip, the rice plants showed significantly high mortality of BPH, WBPH and GLH confined to untreated portions of the plant thereby confirming downward and upward translocation of active principles in neem formulations. Results also revealed that 6 hours was the optimum period for seedling root dip with Neem Azal T/S against GLH.
