Field experiments during Kharif 1989 and 1990 indicated that during this season, the leaffolder infestation did not differ significantly across different dates of transplanting. However, maximum infestation occurred during September transplanting. Irrespective of dates of planting the leaffolder incidence was higher during 7 to 9 weeks after planting.
