Life tables were prepared for Groundnut leaf miner (GLM) Aproaerema modicella (Deventer) on groundnut (var. TMV-2) to understand the population-dynamics and role of various mortality factors operating during rabi 1995–96 at College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad. The parasitoids acted as major mortality factors regulating the larval stages of GLM. The per cent mortality due to parasitism ranged from 23.00 to 28.00 in larval phase I and population was reduced by 33.93 to 51.05 per cent in larval phase II during first through third generations. The trend index (19.20) during second generation indicated that mortality factors during this period were effective in reducing the pest population in third generation. Six parasitoids were responsible for inflicting mortality on populations of GLM during the larval phase.
