Effect of four fungicides, Bavistin, Captan, Celest and Dithane M-45 was evaluated against seed-borne fungi viz., Curvularia lunata (Walker) Boedijn, Rhizoctonia bataticola (Taub.) E.J. Butler and Fusarium sp at 500, 1000 and 2000 ppm. Celest was found to be the best of all at 500 and 1000 ppm and Dithane M-45 at 2000 ppm in inhibiting C. lunata. Captan at 500 ppm, Bavistin and Dithane M-45 at 1000 ppm and Celest at 2000 ppm were effective against R. bataticola. Captan at all concentrations was effective on Fusarium sp compared to others. Among the homoeopathic drugs viz., Aswaganth, Azadirachta, Natrum mur and Thuja, Azadirachta was the most effective in controlling C. lunata and R. bataticola whereas Thuja and Natrum mur were found to be effective on Fusarium sp.
