Abstract

Field experiments were conducted to determine the economic thresholds of pod borer complex during 1994–95 under the prevailing agroclimatic conditions of Bhubaneswar, Orissa. It was revealed that an yield loss of 27.77 and 14.28 kg/ha was obtained for each unit increase in larval population and for every unit per cent increase in pod damage respectively. In the pod stage, 3.9 larvae/plant or 8.3% pod damage were worked out as the economic thresholds (ETLs) of pod borer complex.
