Screening of Mungbean Genotypes Against Mungbean Yellow Mosaic Virus, Anthracnose, Root Rot and Leaf Crinkle Virus

Out of 46 mungbean genotypes screened against mungbean yellow mosaic virus, anthracnose, leaf crinkle and root rot 37, 35, 46 and 39 genotypes, respectively possessed resistance. Twenty genotypes viz; PMB 27, PBM-5, PMB 11-2, L 24-2, MH-309, ML-682, ML-776, ML-713, ML-515, ML-696, ML-759, ML-729, ML-5, ML-746, ML-839, ML-267, Pusa-9762, HUM-7, M-44-341 and PDM 91–249 possessed combined resistance to all the four diseases. However, in pot screening tests against root rot (Rhizoclonia solani Khun) none of the 20 genotypes evaluated exhibited resistance.
