Sixteen cashew types planted under Multi Locational Trial during 1989 were evaluated against Hypatima haligramma M. (Gelechiidae: Lepidoptera) during 1993–94 to 1995–96. The mean shoot infestation in different cashew types varied between 17.62 to 28.95 per cent. The early types recorded above 20.0 per cent damage while mid and late entries viz., H-1600, H-1610, Veng.3, VTH-30/4, VTH-59/2, Veng.4 and H-1608 recorded less than 20 per cent shoot infestation.
