Abstract

Field testing of early maturing pigeonpea cvs against the incidence of Maruca testulalis, Nanaguna breviuscula and borer complex as a whole were conducted during 1994–95 and 1995–96 Kharif seasons at the Central Agricultural Research Station, Bhubaneswar. Based on the damage potential of the pod borers, of the 21 early cultivars field tested, AS 46, T 21, 1CPL 83024, AS 36, H 82-1 and H 89-2 were found superior to others with the higher yields (365–548 kg/ha).
