Abstract

Every year about 60, 000 samples of crop germplasm are received at the National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources, New Delhi for quarantine clearance. All the samples are first subjected to visual examination followed by incubation test (blotter method) for detection of associated pathogens. In this paper information on 14 species of the genus Drechslera intercepted from various countries on different hosts during 1976–2003 is listed and their economic significance discussed.
