Thirty genotypes were evaluated against aflatoxin contamination fungi in chilli under laboratory condition using pinprick method of inoculation. Genotypes viz., LCA-206, HTL, GOLI and 9623 showed immune reaction, while JCA-283, AAUDC-24, KA-2 and IND-10 showed resistant reaction. Besides, nine genotypes were moderately resistant and remaining ones were susceptible. Four each of systemic, non-systemic fungicides and plant extracts were evaluated against Aspergillus flavus Link. Fres. at different concentrations using poisoned food technique. Mancozeb (91.1%) and captan (85.2%) at 0.3 per cent among non-systemic fungicides and carbendazim (73%) at 0.15 per cent among systemic fungicides were found effective in inhibiting the growth of A. flavus. Among plant extracts, neem seed kernel extract, nimbicidin and pongamia oil inhibited 100 per cent growth of aflatoxin fungus at 5 per cent concentration.
