The seventy of pest infestation and their damage to walnut (Juglans regia L.) plantation varied between seasons and locations in Kashmir. The damage ranged from general weakening, defoliation, fruit drop to ultimate yield loss. The infestation severity varied between 31.2% for Chaetoprocta odata; 22.3% for Lymantria obfuscata; 13.3% for Protecta neglecta, 10.5% for Myllocerus spp., and 14.4% for Rhagoletis completa, 24.6% for Tortrix sp. as leaf damage; Aeolesthes sarta showed an infestation of 4.2 live holes/2m trunk; Scolyptoplatypus spp., exhibited an infestation of 2.8 live holes/10 cm2 and Alcides porrectirostris recorded 36.7% fruit damage.
