Carbendazim tolerant mutants of Trichoderma viride (TvM1) and T. harzianum (ThM1) developed at Gamma Radiation unit of Post Harvest Technology, Acharya N.G.Ranga Agricultural University, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad and a bacterial biocontrol agent Pseudomonas fluorescens in combination with different compatible pesticides (carbendazim, fipronil, fluchloralin) that are commonly used in chilli crop were evaluated for the management of Fusarium solani causing wilt. The effectiveness of these mutants (TvM1 and ThM1) and P. fluorescens increased when used as soil and seed application treatments and also when combined with soil drenching chemicals resulted in zero per cent wilt incidence. The mutants TvM1 ThM1and P. fluorescens when used singly did not significantly affect the wilt incidence.
