Three field trials conducted to evaluate the efficacy of Abamectin in cabbage, indicated that abamectin 1.9 EC applied @ 15 g a.i.ha-1 is more effective against diamondback moth when compared to the standard checks used. It is followed by abamectin 13 g a.i.ha-1 and spinosad 45 SC 75 g a.i.ha-1. No phytotoxic symptoms were noticed in any of the treatments. Abamectin treated plots recorded the highest marketable yield in all the three experiments. Abamectin @ 15 g a.i.ha-1 recorded a cabbage yield of 36.5 - 76.01 ha-1 as against 24.1 - 49.0 t ha-1 in the untreated check.
