Influence of different oil and protein sources in standard Wout's medium for multiplication of indigenous nematode isolates in in vitro solid culture was studied. Nematode yields in medium supplemented with butter soya and sunflower oil were maximum with 64.6x105 and 48.9xl05 IJs/250 ml flask for Steinernema carpocapsae and 63.2x105 and 69.3x105 IJs/250 ml flask for S. tami, respectively. Absolute mortality of Galleria mellonella was obseived after 48 hours of exposure in all treatments except in treatments where IJs were multiplied on cod liver, linseed and castor oil supplemented media.
