Effect of five different types of compost teas, which were prepared by both aerobic and anaerobic method at different dilutions (1:4, 1:6 and 1: 8 dilutions) was tested under glass house conditions on incubation period and per cent disease index of chilli die back and powdery mildew. Compost teas of cattle manure enriched with paddy straw and Pseudomonas fluorescens showed lowest die back incidence with 34.4 at 1:4 dilution and 49.5 at 1:8 dilution and lowest per cent disease index of 29.5 at 1:4 dilution and 38.1 at 1:8 dilution, respectively. At 1:4 dilution, all the compost teas were found to be effective in reducing both the diseases as it is more concentrated than 1:6 and 1:8 dilutions.
