Propineb 75 WP, prochloraz 45 EC, difenoconazole 25 EC were screened in vitro against Macrophomina phaseolina, Sclerotium rolfsii, Drechslera oryzae and Fusarium oxysporum f. sp udum. Flusilazole 40 EC, a triazole compound appeared highly effective against all test fungi with respect to its minimum inhibitory and maximum tolerable concentrations (MIC and MTC) followed by prochloraz 45 EC, an imidazole compound against only M. phaseolina and F. udum, while a moderate to low antifungal effect was noted with difenoconazole 25 EC (triazole) and propineb 75 WP (dithiocarbamate) particularly with respect to MTC for all test fungi. Prochloraz 45 EC at 128.0 ml/l against M. phaseolina and F. udum, flusilazole 40 EC at 32.0 ml/l against S. rolfsii and difenoconazole 25 EC at 128.0 ml/l against S. rolfsii completely inhibited the mycelial growth of the respective organism. Flusilazole 40 EC had lowest ED50values irrespective of the test fungi followed by prochloraz 45 EC against M. phaseolina (3.59 ml/l) and F. udum (1.54 ml/l) while difenoconazole against D. oryzae (3.17 ml/l).
