Abstract

Field evaluation of different fungicidal treatments for three years at Regional Agricultural Research Station, Jagtial indicated that all the fungicides were significant in reducing the Colletotrichum leaf spot disease and increasing the yield of turmeric. Thiophanate methyl 0.1% (PDI 33.9) and carbendazim 0.1% (PDI 33.7) were found to be the most effective fungicides in reducing the disease incidence followed by mancozeb 0.3% (PDI 36.6). However, carbendazim 0.1% and propiconazole 0.1% showed highest fresh rhizome yield (15.8kg/ha and 15kg/ha) followed by thiophanate methyl @ 0.1% and hexaconazole @ 0.1% (13.5kg/ha).
