Abstract

An experiment was conducted to manage the root rot disease of fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum L.) caused by Rhizoctonia solani Kuhn using organic amendments. The root rot incidence was reduced to 4.8, 5.7 and 6.0 per cent by the application of neem cake, farm yard manure and poultry manure respectively from 25.6 per cent in untreated control. These amendments were on par and reduced root rot incidence by 81.2, 77.7 and 76.5 per cent, respectively over control. Goat manure and castor cake did not reduce root rot incidence.
