Method has been developed for estimation of active ingredient in chlorpyrifos formulation Paraban 20 EC. The formulation was extracted in chloroform, dried and re-suspended in acetonitrile. The cleanup was performed using C-18 SPE cartridge. The active ingredient was estimated using 5μm ODS-II column, mobile phase acetonitrile: water (75:25 v/v) and detection at 229 nm. The efficiency of cleanup method was 95.25 per cent and minimum limit of detection was less than 2.5 ng. The detector response was linear within concentration range 2.5ng-50ng at RSD 1.42 per cent.
