Field experiments were carried out to evaluate newer insecticides against defoliators viz., Achaeajanata, Spodoptera litura and capsule borer, Conogethes (Dichocrosis) punctiferalis during Kharif seasons of, 2007–08 and 2008–09. Spinosad 0.018% and indoxacarb 0.015% proved their superiority over other treatments in efficacy against both defoliaters and capsule borers as well as in resulting higher yields.
