The present study was undertaken to find out phenomenon of cross resistance among carbendazim sensitive/resistant isolates of Elsinoe ampelina anthracnose of grapevine (Vitis vinifera L.) isolates of north Karnataka and parts of Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh. Most of the isolates were significantly sensitive to hexaconazole and topsin-M, whereas moderate resistance was observed in case of kitazin while most isolates showed highly resistant reaction to mancozeb. The existence of cross-resistance to other chemicals among the carbendazim resistant isolates was revealed in isolates Ea15, Ea16 and Ea18 to other chemicals such as kiatzin, mancozeb and thiophanate methyl. The isolates that were identified as resistant to carbendazim at lower levels were also resistant to these fungicides while none was found resistant to hexaconazole
