The efficacy of liquid formulation of Pseudomonas fluorescens (1.0% AS) was tested against damping off disease of chilli caused by P. aphanidermatum, for its antifungal activity. Seed treatment with liquid formulations of P. fluorescens (1.0% AS) @ 10ml/kg and 15 ml/kg of seed was found to be most effective in reducing the pre and post emergence damping off both in pot culture and field study. The treatments also increased the plant growth and vigour index of chilli seedlings.
