Control of stem rot disease of Groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.) incited by Sclerotium rolfsii Sacc. was made by using native antagonistic microflora. Under in vitro study, the seed endophyte Trichoderma GSEF3 showed the highest antagonistic activity in dual culture. Among the bacterial antagonists, the seed endophyte GSE1 and root endophyte GRE29 inhibited 100 per cent mycelial growth of the pathogen. Moreover, the culture filtrate of GSE1 showed 100% inhibition of mycelial growth of the Sclerotium rolfsii. Among the fungicides tested, mancozeb was most compatible with all the antagonists.
