Laboratory experiment was carried out during 2009–10 to generate a baseline data for efficacy of new molecule rynaxypyr 20 SC of anthranilic diamide group against tobacco caterpillar, Spodoptera litura (Fab.). Susceptibility index worked out for F1 and F6 generations revealed that, susceptibility of Spodoptera litura increased after six generations in insecticide free exposure and susceptibility index for LC50 was 1.5.
