Abstract

Studies on compatibility of avermectin with Carbofuran 3G, Pseudomonas fluorescens, and Trichoderma viride for the management of Rotylenchulus reniformis in bhendi revealed that, avermectin 75% as seed treatment in combination with soil application of Carbofuran 3G @ 1 kg a.i/ha recorded maximum shoot length of 47.81 cm, fresh shoot weight of 32.47 g, dry shoot weight of 14.76 g and fruit yield of 53.21 g/plant. It was followed by avermectin + P. fluorescens and avermectin + T. viride. Combined treatment of avermectin 75% as seed treatment + Carbofuran 3G @ 1 kg a.i/ha recorded the maximum root length of 29.37 cm, fresh root weight of 6.23 g and dry root weight of 4.97g. It was followed by avermectin + P. fluorescens and avermectin + T. viride. Maximum reduction in R. reniformis soil population to the tune of 71.01 per cent and root nematode population to the tune of 66.89 per cent over untreated control resulted in combined application of avermectin + Carbofuran 3G 1 kg a.i/ha. It was followed by combined application of avermectin + P. fluorescens and T. viride. Application of avermectin 75% as seed treatment effected reduction in soil population to the tune of 35.6 per cent and root population to the tune of 21.7 per cent over untreated control.
