Field trials were carried out was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of some newer insecticides against legume pod borer, Maruca vitrata (Geyer) on urdbean at Regional Agricultutal Research Station, Lam, Guntur during rabi 2009–10 and 2010–11. The results showed that flubendiamide @ 0.2 ml/lt, thiodicarb 1.5 g/lt and emamectin benzoate 0.4 g/lt were found effective in reducing the pod borer damage with high seed yield.
