Abstract

A field experiment was conducted at B A College of Agriculture, Anand Agricultural University, Anand, Gujarat, India during Kharif seasons of 2010 and 2011 to study the response of a natural enemies to cyantraniliprole (HGW 86) (Cyazypyr) 10 OD applied against insect pest of cotton. The population of coccinellids, green lacewings and spiders did not differ significantly from that of control after applications indicating the safety of cyantraniliprole 10 OD (45, 60, 75, 90 and 105 g a.i./ha) to these predators. Among the insecticides, the higher population of natural enemies was observed in plots treated with cyantraniliprole 10 OD @ 45 g a.i./ha and was at par with the rest of its doses i.e. 60, 75, 90 and 105 g a.i./ha.
