The paper describes the effect of methyl bromide fumigation on the viability of sugarbeet seed fumigated and kept in different packing materials. It is concluded that the viability is not affected either by the fumigation with methyl bromide or by storing the treated seed in polythene, paper or cloth bags for as long as 140 days.
