The withholding period for monocrotophos used at 0.75, 1.25 and 3.12 kg per hectare on cowpea has been found to be 11 to 15 days. Similarly for carbaryl used on cowpea at 6.25 Kg. per hectare, one has to observe a with-holding period of 10–15 days.
