Five treatments, viz. sowing Tagetes in the basin, profos (Mocap 10 G) 40 kg, profos (Mocap) 20 L, DBCP (Nemagon) 20 L and fensulfothin (Dasanit 5 G) 30kg a.i./ha were tried for the control of citrus nematode, Tylenchulus semipenetrans Cobb infesting pummelo, Citrus maxima Merrill. DI CP 20 L and fensulfothion 30 kg a.i./ha were highly effective in controlling this nematode, the fruit yield increased by 74.6 and 67 percent (average of 2 years) respectively. Mocap 40 kg and 20 L ha, and sowing of T. erecta were rather ineffective.
