Effect of Few Insecticides Alone and in Combination with Agricultural Spray Oil on the Control of Whitefly (Bemisia Tabaci Gennadius) Population and Incidence of Leaf Curl Virus

Six insecticides viz: 0.03% parathion 0.05% malathion, 0.05% quinalphos, 0.05% dime-thoate, 0.05% monocrotophos, 0.05% ambithion and 0.2% agricultural spray oil alone and all these insecticides in combination with agricultural spray oil were tried for the control of whiteflies and leaf curl virus on pusa ruby tomato. Agricultural spray oil is effective against whiteflies however in combination with these insecticides was observed to be more effective except quinalphos. Significantly highest yield was obtained with the sprays of 0.05% monocrotophos + 0.2% agricultural oil.
