Only t spray against jassid was required on LSS variety of cotton according to the super vised spray programme based on the appearance of II grade jassid injury symptoms as against 4 fixed sprays recommended at 2 week interval during July and August. Starting sprays against bollworms 15 days after the begining of flowering was as effective as when the sprays were started coinciding with the rush of moth emergence. Bollworm sprays repeated at 10-day interval proved better than those done at 14-day interval. Carbaryl at 1 kg ai/ha proved more effective than endosulfan at 0.5 kg ai/ha.
