Studies on the Effect of Different Levels of Concentration on the Compatibility of Fungicide with Other Pesticides and Macronutrient.

In vitro studies to determine the effect of different levels of concentration on the compatibility of the fungicide ziram with insecticide phosphamidon, herbicide propanil and macronutrient urea against the test pathogen Helminthosporium oryzae. showed that all the 189 combinations of the fungicide were not only biologically compatible but certain combinations also exhibited synergistic effect. The different levels of concentration of the fungicide or other chemicals had no significant effect on the compatibility. It was also shown that the interaction of the herbicide propanil and macronutrient urea was very significant, since all the combinations of the two gave significant increase in the toxicity as compared to the situations where the macronutrient was used without the herbicide at any of the three concentrations.
