Field experiment was conducted for the control of bhendi jassid by soil application of granular formulation of Aldicarb 10G, Disulfoton 5G, Phorate 10G and Sevidol 3: 3G at 2kg ai/ha. Application of either Aldicarb or Disulfoton whether applied as full dose or split dose were superior to the rest of the treatments in reducing the population of bhendi jassid to a significant level. Application of split dose of these insecticides was superior to the full dose applied at one time in giving protonged protection of the crop till 70 days after germination against nymphs of jassids.
