Abstract

Field trial to evaluate the efficacy of 8 new insecticides was conducted during the kharif 1977 at Punjabrao Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola. The treatments with thiometon, quinalphos and phenthoate were found to be highly effective against jassids Amrasca biguttula biguttula Ishida; whereas, in case of Achoea Janata Linn, phosalone, phosvel and phenthoate were found to be comparatively more effective in reducing the larval population.
