The average deposits 18 to 53 26 to 90 and 39 to 215 ppm were obtained from 15, 30 and 45 kg a i./ha respectively, These deposits got dissipated 44–93 per cent after 15 days of application of insecticide. The persistence was noticed from 60 to 120 days. The half life values varied from 11.94 to 20.20 days. The residues of carbaryl in beet root, carrot and radish were below detectable level at harvest time of these crops.
