Efficacy of Some Granular Insecticides Against the Flea Beetle Phylotreta Cruciferae on Mustard

Abstract

Efficacy of 6 granular insecticides viz. phorate 10 G, BPMC. 4 G, aldicarb 10 G, carbaryl 4 G, carbofuran 3 G, and quinalphos 3 G @ 1.00 kg/a.i./ha, applied in furrows at the time of sowing of mustard, was worked out against the adult flea beetle Phylotreta cruciferae (Gocze.) Carbofuran was found to be most effective reco ding 70, 90, 82, 50, 77, 50 and 6) per cent mortality of adult beetles after 20, 27, 34, 41, and 48 days of insecticidal application, followed by phorate and BPMC which were at par.
