The survey of plant parasitic nematodes associated with grapes var. Anab-e-Shahi and Thompson Seedless in several vineyards of Hyderabad revealed that the reniform nematode. Rotylenchulus reniformis occurred in high popuiation in the samples (44 to 5275 nematodes/250 ml of soil). The frequency of distribution of R. reniformis was 98 percent and the population density in in comparison with other plant parasitic nematodes was 89 percent. It was concluded that R. reniformis was a widespread and predominent nematode parasite of grapes at Hyderabad
