Abstract

Efficiency of two proprietory products viz. Dipel and CAJRAB based on Bacillus thuringiensis were tested against Hypsa ficus, Hymenia recurvalis, Utethesla pulcholla, Polytela gloriosae and Euproctis fraterna. Hypsa ficus was found most susceptible whereas Euproctis fraterna was found least susceptible to Dipel. Higher mortality resulted by the lower concentration of Dipel may be attributed to the fact that in lower concentration more feeding was done by the caterpillars and thus ingested more spores resulting to higher mortality. CAJRAB on the other hand was found ineffective against these pests.
