The extent of infestation of the linseed bud fly Dasyneura lini Barnes observed on five cultivars of differing susceptibility during three seasons at Jabalpur, M. P., was found to be related to the maximum and minimum temperature during a chosen base period (February), It appears that the higher level of infestation in a season may be preceeded by maximum temperatuares of about 23°C and minimum temperatures above 14°C.
