Assess the level of anger among adolescents

Abstract

This study reveals the level of anger among adolescents studying in nursing colleges. The sample consisted of 50 (8 male nursing students and 42 female nursing students) nursing students from Chennai. They have completed the Adolescent Anger Rating Scale (AARS) was developed by Burney, (2001) and it is a 39-item, self-report, Likert-type rating scale. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results revealed that Majority of the adolescents 43(86%) had average level of anger, 4 (8%) were in the category of moderately high level of anger and 3(6%) had moderately low level of anger and there is significant association between gender and anger among adolescents at the level of p<0.05.
