Presence of spirituality and social support has been found to be positive indicators in disorders such as schizophrenia and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). The present study aimed to assess spirituality and perceived social support in patients with schizophrenia and patients with obsessive compulsive disorder. Results revealed significant difference spirituality and religiosity, and also differences in perceived social support between the three groups were seen. Correlations between spirituality/religiosity and perceived social support were found. Thus, although both spirituality and perceived social support can be seen as separate constructs, there is significant overlap between them.
